Vehicle-mounted two-way radios for fleets, utes, trucks, machinery and fixed base stations.
Mobile radios deliver more transmit power and better range than handhelds, which makes them the backbone of transport, logistics, agriculture and emergency fleets. The range includes UHF CB units such as the MGX R1 and GME CM40, digital DMR mobiles like the Hytera HM652 and Kenwood NX-1700/1800, P25 radios such as the ICOM IC-F7510, and push-to-talk mobiles including the Hytera MNC360 and Icom IP501M.
Consider whether you need UHF CB or a licensed private channel, 12V or 24V power, a remote-head or compact install, and how the radio will talk to handhelds in the field.
Mobile and vehicle-mounted radios for reliable communication on the move
When communication matters on the road or across large operational areas, mobile and vehicle-mounted radios deliver the power, range and clarity to keep your teams connected. Whether you’re managing a fleet of trucks, coordinating civil works or operating in remote regions, vehicle radios provide dependable communication beyond the limits of handheld devices.
Radio Industries supplies commercial-grade mobile radios trusted across transport, emergency services, mining, agriculture, construction and government. Built for rugged vehicle installations, they offer higher transmit power, extended range and clearer audio.
Choose the right vehicle radio
UHF CB mobiles
The MGX R1 and GME CM40 suit utes, trucks and machinery on the public UHF CB channels. See UHF radios.
Digital DMR mobiles
The Hytera HM652 and Kenwood NX-1700/1800 work on licensed private channels and with repeaters.
P25 radios
The Icom IC-F7510 delivers P25 communication for government and emergency fleets.
Push-to-talk mobiles
The Hytera MNC360 and Icom IP501M connect vehicles Australia-wide over 4G. See push-to-talk radios.
Nationwide communication without range limits
For fleets that travel between cities and states, the Ozitel push-to-talk over cellular system lets your vehicles talk across the country over 4G, LTE and Wi-Fi, with GPS tracking, speed monitoring and instant group calls from robust in-vehicle devices.
Usually, yes. Mobile radios transmit at higher power and use an external roof or bull bar antenna, so they generally cover more distance than a handheld. A repeater or push-to-talk over cellular extends range further.
Should I choose UHF CB or a licensed private channel?
UHF CB is licence-free and simple, but public channels can be busy. A licensed private channel from the ACMA gives clearer, interference-free fleet communication. We can arrange private frequency licences.
Do you supply 12V and 24V radios?
Yes. Many mobile radios, such as the MGX R1, run on 12V or 24V, which suits both cars and heavy vehicles. Check the power requirements listed on each product.
Can you install radios in our vehicles?
Yes. Our technicians can supply and install complete vehicle radio systems, including antennas, mounts and wiring. Call 1300 266 682 to discuss your fleet.
